Stone Marker No. 1

Volcanic rock stone with carvings and perforations. Dimensions: 74 × 50 × 40 cm. It was possibly used with the intention of relocating or as a territorial marker.

Archaeological context

Stone markers are stone posts fixed in the ground that served to mark territorial boundaries, indicate distances, or signal routes. Five markers are preserved in situ along the Vegonia trail.
